　　这样的生活对军人的腐蚀特别厉害，因为要是一个平民过这样的生活，他内心深处就会感到害臊。军人过这样的生活却心安理得，并且自吹自擂，引以为荣，特别是在战争时期。聂赫留朵夫正好是在向土耳其宣战后进入军队的。“我们准备为国捐躯，因此这种花天酒地的生活不仅可以原谅，而且在我们是必要的。所以我们才这样过日子。”
